  20. DESCRIPTION

  22.  This patch enhances your workbench-tool ShowConfig.
  23.  
  24.  The new patched ShowConfigEnh will be able to use 'expname.library'
  25.  to decode the manufacturer- and product ID of expansion boards and
  26.  does support more hardware (68060, Draco, ...), so you can see what
  27.  boards and what computer you have, just in case you forgot it.
  28.  
  29.  You can choose between the (old) output in a CON window and the
  30.  new output in an intuition-requester. It is necessary to install
  31.  the support-tool ShowReq if you choose the requester. This will be
  32.  done by the installer. If you ever move ShowConfigEnh to another
  33.  drawer, make sure that you also move the ShowReq tool there, or
  34.  you won't see anything if ShowConfigEnh is started from workbench.

  36.  ShowConfigEnh requires the 'expname.library' v2+ which is INCLUDED
  37.  in this archive. The 'expname.library' was written by Richard Koerber
  38.  and the full archive incl. docs and developer-files is available on
  39.  aminet as 'util/libs/ExpName*'.

  41. USAGE
  42.  
  43.  You can use the patched ShowConfigEnh as you used ShowConfig before.

  45. INSTALLATION
  46.  
  47.  You MUST use the supplied Install-script to enhance ShowConfig.
  48.  Just follow the instructions there. Your old ShowConfig will
  49.  NOT be overwritten. Its icon will be copied (if one exists).

  51. NOTE

  53.  The required 'Installer' tool is NOT included. You can find it on
  54.  your Workbench 'Install' disk, on aminet in 'util/misc/Installer*'
  55.  or on various CDs. Copy it to 'SYS:Utilities' or anywhere else,
  56.  where workbench can find it.

  58.  Do NOT use the new Installer 42.5 (supplied with the Amiga-Surfer)
  59.  because it contains at least one serious bug and can not calculate
  60.  required checksums for this installation.

  62. BUGS
  63.  
  64.  If you start the OS2.x or OS3.0 original ShowConfig command on an
  65.  OS3.1 workbench with OS3.1 ROM, then there appear sometimes a few
  66.  Enforcer-hits. ShowConfigEnh fixes some of these bugs, but of
  67.  course there can be some left [ C-Code :-( ].

  69.  In some cases the FPU is not correct or missing. This is caused by
  70.  expname.library and will be fixed soon.
